Necklace

Other work I did this week:

:1. Take an old/vintage/second hand necklace: :2. Make a nice corsage: :3. Put them together: :4. Finished:

Simple. And a satisfying result.

My corsage is made with a vintage crazy daisy winder. For those who don't know the technique, it's a ring with twelve pins on it, where you can wrap around your yarn. You then have to fix everything with a few stitches and pull the flower off the winder. I then added three vintage buttons in matching colours. With a tiny knot I fixed it to the vintage necklace and covered the knot with yellow and green wool felt.

This will be my submission for Whip-Lash. The theme this month is accessories, and this necklace fits in perfectly. It's for the subcategory 'Design'. I love flowers and corsages, and putting one on a necklace is something different from a brooch for a change.

Actually my sister found it on a fleamarket a few years ago, and then gave it to me because she got bored with it :-)
