Just a page

Inspiration book, originally uploaded by paper-flower-girl.

... of my inspiration book.

No time to be inspired though. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork. My one luck is that there is something is this world like music, that I can listen to in the mean time.
I've been walking kilometers of library last week, or so it appears. I've spent every free minute I had in between the shelves of the Art History department. Turning around yellow dusty pages. Books of more than a century old.
I love libraries.

I whish you all a great and inspired/inspiring weekend!

It's pouring down on me

It's pouring down on me, originally uploaded by paper-flower-girl.

"Cluck-Cluck!! He's the sweetest ever! Your packaging was quite a treat as well - Thanks for being you!"

Some buyers leave the most heart warming feedback.
Something like this is all you need really to get you trough the dark of winter!

Choker

Choker, originally uploaded by paper-flower-girl.

And now I am addicted. I Just finished another one!
This time with a vintage MOP button, vintage brass and annodized alluminium chain, MOP chunks, river pearls and black vintage glass beads.

I should leave my jewelry productions now though, I am supposed to be writing a paper about live expectancy in New Zealand between 1945 and 2003 instead. Ugh, statistics...

Anemone

One of the first neckpieces I did {Memories Choker - on the left} has evolved into my new polymer clay Anemone necklaces. I loved the shape and style of the Memories Choker, so I have made several others in the same style. However I felt something personal was missing, something specific to me, my fingerprint to say so.
The new Anemone Necklaces (and also the rings I posted yesterday) litterally bear my fingerprints, that are backed into the clay.

Rings

About half a year ago (that long already!!) I wrote here on the blog I wanted to try my hand on polymer clay. Last summer I drew some designs and idea's and finally, today, I actually made and tried some things.

There's a lot more idea's in my head for brooches, necklaces, bracelets, ... and more rings!

{Sorry for the yellow pics, but I had to take some now. I'll be uploading better photo's on flickr tomorrow!!!}

I love you, I love you, I love you

Last Saturday was our day, of Mr. B and me.
It was a lovely day. We went out to visit a church in a small village in West-Flanders to see two sculpted medieval effigies, partly because I need to see it for my Bachelor-paper, but also because we just do these kind of things to celebrate our three year anniversary.
We had bad luck: the church was closed. To comfort ourselves we bought some delicious candy at the local bakery shop and drove back home for a cozy evening with lovely food and a great movie.

Mr. B, you make me very, very happy.

Autumn light

Autumn light, originally uploaded by paper-flower-girl.

I really love the light today.
The scarce rays of light that come peeking trough the grey blanket of clouds make me happy.

Another world under the ground

Do you sometimes dream of fairytale worlds? Hidden in places where no one ever looks?

Totally charming

Charm necklace, originally uploaded by paper-flower-girl.

My mother in law has been cleaning out her house, and left me a while stash of vintage jewelry and jewelry parts. Charms, chains, ear studs, clip-ons, rings, watches, feaux pearls, enamel earrings, ...

In between studying, working on my Bachelor-paper and watching movies on the tele, I've been using some of the treasures I was so happy to receive to make more charm necklaces. I will be uploading them to the shop tomorrow.

I'm not quite sure my body is adapting to Autumn. It seems I'm not ready yet for rainy weather and short days.
