Leiden

Yesterday Bertus and me went to Leiden, to get some books from the university library there and visit an exhibition about the jewellery of old cultures (Egyptian, Roman, Medieval, ...).

Here are some of my favorite pieces. They aren't all that sharp...

It is amazing to see how timeless all these pieces are.

New shop

Hi friends!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
I know I had a very busy one. I've been cleaning out my craft room, putting everything I don't really need until after the move in boxes. I labeled all the boxes so that I can find everything back easily.
I also found out moths have been feeding from some of my wool fabrics and yarns. So I've been cleaning and washing like a fool! Luckily the damage isn't really bad. My fabrics are all intact, only some of my yarns are damaged.
So, another lesson learned: always, ALWAYS, put your wool in clean plastic bags.

I've also been working on some collages and notepads, but I haven't got any photo's of those to show you yet!

Other news I forgot to tell you about last week is that I opened a new shop on etsy. I felt I needed another place to sell my supplies and other craft activities that don't really fit into my Paper Flower Girl shop. My new shop is called Curiosities - A treasury of curious things...

Catching up

Wow. Time is running ahead of me! It's been more than ten days since my last post but it only seems to be like 48 hours to me!

Despite the fact I'm not a good runner, and it is not very likely I will ever catch up with father time, I did do quite a lot of work in the past week.
I made three rabbit softies (they're only about 25 cms tall, but they require more than 2 hours each in the making) and sent them off to the United States for the Plush You show in October.

I made a small change in my bottle shaped softie pattern, since I decided It would be a lot of fun to make some cats as friends for my rabbits. I finished one so far and started work on three other kitties.

I also have been working on some necklaces -- I will show then to you once they are finished -- and made a couple more collages. I now have seven pieces of what I want to be a series of ten. I will be working on the other three during the weekend and hope to show you some results next week.

Enjoy your friday friends!

I picked these girls:
