Bestelling / Order

Bestelling / Order, originally uploaded by paper-flower-girl.

Today I've been working on product descriptions, packaging and posting of new stock for http://www.hannahzakari.co.uk and http://www.tortillagirl.com.

The reason why I haven't been showing too much jewelry lately, is because I find myself in what I'll call and creative existentional crisis for now :)
I see so many things around me that I find inspiring time and time again, and I haven't found a way yet to translate them all in my work.
On the other hand, this very problem may be one of my main drives as an artist.

Do any of you sometimes encounter this problem? How do you handle it?

I encounter this problem all the time! Because I can be inspired by everything from a dead leaf to the roof of the local mall (soooo 1980s new age with all it's triangles) I can get overdosed. (I went through one last week and couldn't even dream straight!)

My solution is to write down everything that inspires me at the time and then try to find the kernel of it, the thing that really gets me about it. Is it the colour? The shape? The meaning of it? After I have these kernels they often come together to give me something I can work with beyond insanity. That's the best way I can explain it. :)

Little Brown Sparrow's thoughts on this are very interesting- I understand what you are saying too- I think some quiet time with self and sketchbook is my answer to this when it hits me (and it does very often)!
