Lilly in a pond and...

Gustav was an odd little man, with greyish white hair and a small moustache. He lived in a small treehouse, somewhere in the back of a cloister's garden, at the edge of a town in southern Germany. He collected old phonebooks. This of course, not without a particular reason (Gustav believed everything had a reason). Gustav kept himself busy by searching for phonenumbers that were out of use.
In his treehouse he had shelves and shelves of phonebooks. Not only phonebooks from Germany, no, from the whole world.
In the garden, near to Gustav's tree, there was a pond. White lilies swam around in the greenish water.

Why Gustav collected these out-of-use phonenumbers, nobody has ever know. No doubt, he had a reason for doing so.
